This snowy area is about two and half hours due east of San Francisco, where it almost never snows. People from the coast can
enjoy the snow for a day, then, another enjoyment, leave without having to shovel it.
A photo of snow won't show how deep it is unless the snow is either cut by a plow or piled next to or on to something. Rocks are
good for that. Shadows help define the shape, and also minimize the glare.
