Toshogu Shrine
Nikko, Japan
The magnificent Toshogu, completed in 1637, is the mausoleum of the great shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu whose dynasty unified
Japan and ruled for over 250 years, until 1868. A feudal lord planted 15,000 Japanese cypress trees here, in lieu of taxes.

Wide angle captures the setting. The photo is pretty much point and shoot, with some processing to lighten shadows.
